Entrance and first view of the site. The film opens at Amara War Cemetery (British), Amarah, ~305-344 km southeast of Baghdad. Amara (Al-ʿAmārah) on the Tigris became a principal medical and burial centre for the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force during WWI.

Walk along the burial rows. The camera moves through the site, past the grave rows that hold 4,621 recorded burials, 4,621 from the First World War. Amara (Al-Amarah) on the Tigris became a principal medical and burial center for the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force during WWI.
